Legacies confirms another character from The Originals for a mysterious encounter with a Salvatore student

It's been confirmed that The Originals star Riley Voelkel is set to make an appearance in Legacies later this month.Known for her role as Freya Mikaelson in the vampire series, Riley will follow in the footsteps of Zach Roerig, Steven R McQueen and Jodi Lyn O'Keefe to feature in multiple shows within this supernatural TV universe.

According to TV Line, she "receives an unexpected visit from one of the Salvatore students" in the November 21 episode.

Executive producer Julie Plec stated: "Riley Voelkel was always the one that was so happy to be anywhere and do anything and help anybody out.

"Even in this case, she was willing to go from shooting Roswell to shooting Legacies all in the same week – while also having just finished a series regular role of her own on a new show.

She went on to say: "For poor Hope [Mikaelson], who's now been forgotten by anyone who's ever loved her, to have access to a family member at this crucial time would be a really great thing."
